Coach screws are heavy duty screws designed for metal to timber connections or to join heavy timber sections together. The fixing incorporates a hexagon head which can be used with a socket, spanner or pliers to tighten the fixing up. When using this fixing in playground construction we recommend that the fixing head is either countersunk into the timber or protected with a two-part cap.
