In with the New in Diss, Norfolk FLP have recently upgraded a play area at Willbye Avenue Diss. The work included the removal of a set of 1949 swings - the oldest set of swings FLP have ever been asked to remove to date, complete with some very thick degraded wetpour. The surfacing was excessively thick as over the years it had been re-topped 3 times providing an additional 60mm of rubber to dispose of. The old swings manufactured from solid 50mm diameter bar (built to last!) were carefully removed complete with the rubber safety surfacing. Once removed, the surface area was extended complete with pin kerb edgings which complimented the new set of 2 Bay Cradle / Flat Anti wrap Flexi Swings. On completion it was really interesting to see how the fame work designs had changed over the past 70 years! The area was further enhanced by the installation of a MPLF33 Hastings Multiplay Unit complete with HDPE themed roof panels, Stainless steel slide and fireman’s Pole, climbing ramp, steps and climbing wall all complimented with Forest Green Fibrefall impact attenuating safety surfacing.    Before 1 After 2 3
